NMS-UI

NMS-UI

NMS-UI is a vendor-agnostic network management front-end providing fault, configuration, accounting, performance, and security (FCAPS) views across NgRAN network functions and third-party elements, exposed through standard OAM interfaces.

Itf-N / O1 (NMS-UI ↔ managed network functions) REST / NETCONF / VES (NMS-UI ↔ OSS)

Key features

  • Unified FCAPS dashboards across MME Proxy, AMF Proxy, gNB-CU and gNB-DU
  • Northbound integration with 3GPP-aligned OAM / Itf-N and O-RAN SMO
  • Role-based access control with full audit trail
  • Real-time alarm correlation and configurable KPI thresholds
  • Bulk configuration management (CM) with change history and rollback
  • REST / NETCONF / VES northbound APIs for OSS integration

Governing 3GPP & O-RAN specifications

These are the primary specifications this product implements or interoperates against. NgRAN tracks each release train and updates products as specifications evolve.

SpecificationTitle / scope
3GPP TS 28.532 Generic management services (Itf-N) — SBI-based OAM
3GPP TS 28.541 5G Network Resource Model (NRM) — Stage 2 and 3
3GPP TS 32.300 series Telecommunication management — Charging and performance management principles
O-RAN.WG1.O1-Interface O1 interface specification for O-RAN managed elements

Specification titles are summarised for reference. Full texts are maintained by 3GPP (3gpp.org) and the O-RAN ALLIANCE and are not reproduced here.

Architecture & interfaces

NMS-UI is deployed centrally and connects to managed elements over 3GPP Itf-N / O-RAN O1, normalising configuration and performance data behind a single web console. It is intentionally element-agnostic: the same UI framework manages EPC, 5GC, and RAN network functions from NgRAN or any third party publishing a compliant OAM model.

Deployment model

Containerised web application with a clustered time-series backend for performance data retention.
